 Tonfunk was founded in 1958 in Ermsleben. Initially the Company focused on developing more innovative and better quality consumer electronics, as well as supplementary assemblies, such as the first all-transistor stereo decoders. The manufacturing service business was quickly built up in the Production Department, which was developed in parallel.
Tonfunk GmbH Ermsleben was founded in the beginning of the nineties, as the continuation of this tradition. Successful expansion in the market made it possible to build a group around the original company. The Tonfunk Group now consists of three companies, which specialise in catering for a diverse range of customer needs.
The heart of the group is Tonfunk GmbH Ermsleben, which concentrates on providing services involving the manufacture of electronic assemblies and devices. Working with it are the project and development company Tonfunk Systementwicklung und Service GmbH, which has built a reputation for itself among well-known customers as an innovative partner, and Tonfunk Produktmanagement GmbH, which handles the marketing of the Group’s products. |
